Marijuana is made from Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. The chemicals these three have in common tetrahydrocannibol (THC), cannabidol (CBD), cannabinol (CBN) tetrahydrocannabivarian (THCV). These chemicals are what is sought after in cannabis. At its high, marijuana creates a feeling of bliss and euphoria, extreme relaxation and an increase in appetite. Possible side effects include decrease in short term memory, dry mouth, impaired motor skills, reddening of the eyes and feelings of paranoia or anxiety. Cannabis can be used medicinally. Marijuana is considered one of the least harmful drugs, ranking below alcohol and tobacco. Street names include Bhang, Blunt, Boom, Chronic, Dagga, Dope, Gangster, Ganja, Grass, Hemp, Herb, Home grown, J, Kiff, Mary Jane, Nederweed, Pot, Purple Haze, Reefer, Roach, Smoke, Skunk, Super Skunk, Texas tea, Weed, White, and Widow.
