LSD, or Lysergic acid diethylamide, is a hallucinogen, a type of drug that gives you vivid hallucinations or dreams. LSD comes in tablets or liquid form, the liquid usually is absorbed into small paper squares. Each paper square is one dose, powerful enough to give you twelve or more hours of dreams or vivid hallucinations. Short term, LSD can cause your pupils to dilate, your body temperature to rise, increase heart rate and blood pressure, a dry mouth and shivering. LSD can cause fears such as those of losing control, insanity, death, and feelings of depression and sadness. Flashbacks of a LSD trip can happen long after the initial trip has cleared, and long term psychoses is a side effect common in many users. LSD has over 80 streetnames, some common ones include Acid, Doses, Hits, Microdot/ Dots, Yellow sunshine, Boomers, Window pane, Sugar cubes, Tabs, Trips, breaker, battery acid, boomers, doses, Elvis, Loony Toons, pane, Superman, White lightning, and Lucy In the sky with diamonds. LSD can be combined with other drugs, and these hybrids have their own streetnames. LSD combined with Ecstasy (MDMA or methylenedioxyamphetamine) becomes Troll or Candy-Flipping. LSD and cocaine/heroin becomes Frisco Special or Frisco Speedball. Crack cocaine added to LSD is Outer Limits or Sheet rocking. Black acid is LSD mixed with phencyclidine (PCP) and Banana split is LSD combined with 2C-B, a psychedelic drug also known as Nexus. LSD is manufactured from the Ergot Fungus, a fungus that grows on plants like rye and wheat.
